Brita’s NEW Water Filtration System
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Brita Universal Jug Cooler Filtration System. All opinions are 100% mine.
I got the opportunity to test out a new product from Brita and it’s perfect for sports. The Brita Jug Filter is a water filter that fits in your jug water coolers and filters out the chlorine from tap water. While I was filling it up I started thinking of all the things my husband and I have done for our kids and their sports. Sometimes it’s ridiculous when I think of how much time I’ve spent at fields and gyms. I’ve sat in gyms for 10 hours a day for wrestling tournaments and ball fields all weekend in the freezing cold and then later in the season when its 100 degrees.
I usually pack a cooler to take with us with food and snack. Bottled watered is such a mess to clean up and I hate to make all that trash. I love our filtered water that comes from our refrigerator. I know instantly when I’m drinking non-filtered water. My kids do too. After I tuck them in at night one of them ALWAYS asks for a glass of water. To keep them upstairs I make them get it out of the bathroom sink and they always complain about the taste.
This is a great idea and you can buy it at Home Depot online. I know most of you fill these jugs up with the water hose because I know you aren’t using your filtered refrigerator water to fill up those big coolers. It would take forever. Now you can fill up your big jugs and take them to practices and you’ll get the same great tasting water for the entire team (and their parents)! The kit comes with adapters for a cooler you probably already have; Rubbermaid, Coleman, or Igloo. This is great because there isn’t a ton of trash and waste to clean up after the games. There’s even a tag to remind you replace the filter.
Here’s a little video for you to watch so you can see exactly what it’s all about.
Here are some pictures of me putting it in my water jug. It looks similar to the filter I put in my refrigerator.
It comes with 4 different adapters so you can choose the one that works with the water jug you have.
Here’s what it looks like once it’s in. It was pretty easy to install. After it was in I just filled it up with water and that was it.
These big water jugs are a lifesaver on these summer hot days! Brita is holding a fun contest looking for your unsung hero, just like having a jug of fresh water on those hot days is the unsung hero. You can upload a picture he at Be a Brita Hero. It can be anyone, a coach, teacher, neighbor, mom, or dad. You can also upload it to Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #H2Ohero. Next, you’ll need to share it so people can vote for your hero. They’ll narrow it down to the final four on May 9 (that’s really soon). They’ll have another vote with the last four competitors. You can vote for a final winner that receives a free trip to the Bahamas! Who wouldn’t want that?
Who are you going to nominate? Good luck to your unsung hero!
