About 8 years ago we had some neighbors from Germany living next door and became really good friends with them.  They had a daughter that was in my son’s grade so we spent a lot of time together.  The wife was ALWAYS drinking sparkling white wine- Prosecco!

I had never even heard of it, but she was a GREAT neighbor and always shared!  Now today, everyone is drinking Prosecco!  It’s crazy how popular it’s become in the last couple of years. We always have some in our fridge.

Riondo Prosecco is perfect for a fun holiday party, de-stressing after work or just relaxing after a tough day fighting the crowds while Christmas shopping.  It’s also perfect when you want something a little more than just plain wine.  You don’t have to save it for a special occasion!

Take a close look at the top-  it’s a screw cap!  Now, if you only want a glass or a cup to make this recipe, you can close it back up tight and save the rest for the next night! But really, does that happen much? 🙂

Riondo is great just out of the bottle or you can do some simple mixes.  Riondo Prosecco Cocktails are easy to make.  My favorite is with a little pomegranate juice mixed in.  We were having the neighbors over so I thought I would try something different.

Sparkling Cranberry Jello Shot Recipe

One of my favorite cocktails is cranberry juice and vodka so I thought I’d try making some sparkling cranberry shots.

The best part of these is that you don’t have to stand over to the side with a cocktail shaker making drinks all night! You can make these the night before a party and enjoy your night.

These are perfect for the holidays with the bright red color. It just gets you into the holiday spirit!

Kitchen Tools to make this recipe

Mixing bowl– These bowls are great for all kinds of kitchen needs. I have this set and use it all the time.

Measuring Cups– I love these stainless steel measuring cups. They hold up really well and they’re easy to clean.

Jello Shot Cups– I didn’t use little cups when I made the recipe for this post, but I normally would use them to make serving and eating them easier. I didn’t think the pictures would turn out appealing if there were a bunch of little plastic cups!

Ingredients for cranberry shots

  • Cranberry gelatin- Any brand will work.
  • Water- You’ll put this into the recipe boiling.
  • Riondo Prosecco

How to make Cranberry Shots Recipe

Step 1

Heat water over medium heat and bring to a boil.

Step 2

Add gelatin to a 9″x9″ pan and pour boiling water.  Stir well until the gelatin has dissolved.

Add Riondo Prosecco and stir.

Step 3

Cover and place in refrigerator for at least 3 hours or until firm.

Step 4

Once firm, cut into squares, sprinkle some sugar on top and serve.

Tip #1

If you use the little jello cups you’ll want to pour the liquid into those before refrigerating! They should firm up a little faster too.

These turned out to be a hit.  Everyone loved them, even the beer loving guys.  I can’t wait to make these again for Thanksgiving and Christmas with my family.  I know a couple of sisters-in-law that are going to go bonkers for these! They are now our official holiday jello shot!
