We all get busy with the children and their activities and sometimes we neglect our spouse. Sometimes I feel like I haven’t really talked to my husband for months except about the kids sports, school, work, or where we have to be and when. It’s important to take the time to connect with your husband, if only for a few minutes. You don’t have to spend a fortune or get a babysitter and go out.
I rarely make desserts anymore so this IS a special treat! We both love a great dessert and a good cup after dinner.
I made 2 cups of coffee and we enjoy some quiet time talking together. No TV, phones, or kids in our ear. This is such an easy thing to plan and do. I’m trying to make this more of a habit and to really sit down and relax and spend quality time together. My husband loved his dessert and we talked about all the fun we were going to have this summer and our upcoming vacation. I really loved the flavor of my coffee, not bitter, nice and smooth.
You don’t have to spend a lot of money and go out on the town. You just need to decide to make time to sit down together and spend the time together. It doesn’t have to be long or fancy, just quality time. What do you do on a date night in?
