Homemade Cream of Chicken Soup

Here's a cream of chicken soup that can be substituted in any recipe that calls for the canned version.
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1¼ cups milk
  1. Melt 3 tablespoons butter.
  2. Once the butter is melted, add in 2 tablespoons flour. Mix well.
  3. Add in the next ingredients: salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, bouillon cube, and milk. Mix well.
  4. Bring to a boil then turn to low.
  5. Simmer until thick, about 15 minutes.
