Ok guys- I can eat healthy and plan all my meals, but snacking KILLS ME! I always plan my menu so I’m preparing healthy meals, but then life gets in the way and I have to leave for soccer, or lacrosse, or baseball, or volunteer at school, or an appointment! Since the new year I’ve been really focused on my snacks and making sure I was making good choices. I have arthritis is my hands ( I know, I sound old , don’t I). It always gets worse when I eat unhealthy. When I have been eating unhealthy and eating sugary foods is when it’s the worse. Here are my tips for healthy snacking!

Tricks to Healthy Snacking
- Don’t buy “BAD” snacks. I know, easier said than done, especially if you have kids. This can be really hard because my kids can eat everything. It doesn’t effect them at all. I can have one bad day of eating three cookies and I’m sore the next day.
- Prepare food ahead of time. This is the easiest thing to do and it really helps. I usually do this when I’m putting my groceries away. Cut up peppers, make snack baggies of carrots and grapes,
- Keep them where you can see them! When you open the refrigerator or pantry, have the healthy snacks front and center. You will grab those first. If cookies and chips are there, you will be tempted.

- Keep healthy snacks in your car. This is great for kids too. I keep a handful of things I can grab if I’m hungry so I’m not tempted to go through a drive through or make a gas station run.
There are sometimes days and weeks where I have been off track and the pain is so annoying in my hands. I can’t even sleep. I’ve been taking Curamin® Stop Pain Now. I bought it at Healthy Home Market, a health food store near me. It’s been voted #1 for pain relief and is safe and non-addictive. I usually try a natural approach first and thought Curamin® was a good choice since it’s won numerous awards.
It gets to the source of the problem and stops it. It’s herbal formula is different from other OTC medicines and doesn’t cause negative side effects.

It will take you to Dropbox so you can download the image to your computer to save or print out. I have my printables stored there so I can give out a higher quality image without slowing my website down. Please let me know if you have any issues and I’ll get you going!
