The weather is getting cold her and my skin is so dry. My lips get really dry and I love this peppermint lip scrub, especially around Christmas. It’s really easy to make and you probably have all the ingredients right now in your pantry.
- 1 Tablespoon Coconut Oil
- 1 Tablespoon Honey
- 1/2 Tablespoons Sugar
- 7 drops Young Living Peppermint Essential Oil
You’ll need to have a bowl with a lid to store your mix. I like to mix it in the same container I store it in. That just makes it a little easier and I don’t dirty as many dishes. You can also purchase little containers to keep it in. This would be perfect for a teacher gift or stocking stuffer! *hint, hint* I’d prefer to keep in in a glass container, but with kids I put in in a plastic one. The last thing I want is my son in the shower with broken glass everywhere!
If your coconut oil is in a solid form, then you’ll need to throw it in the microwave for a few seconds. You don’t want it hot, but just at that point where it turns to liquid. It’s cold in my house right now so it’s definitely solid. Combine all the ingredients together and mix thoroughly.
Now you can keep in in your bathroom and you have a natural exfoliator for your lips. Use it a couple of times a weeks for smooth and soft lips!
