Homemade Taco Seasoning

Why buy taco seasoning when you can make it yourself?  It’s really quick and easy to mix it up and have it on hand.  It’s perfect for tacos, crockpot meals, fajitas, and casseroles.  I know there are a zillion of these recipes out there, but here’s the one I make and keep in my cabinet.

Here's a great homemade taco seasoning that you can mix up and use today. It's great to have on hand when you need a quick meal.

Homemade Taco Seasoning

Ingredients

  • 6 teaspoons chili powder
  • 5 teaspoons paprika
  • 4 teaspoons cumin
  • 3 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • cayenne pepper to taste (maybe 1/8- 1/2 teaspoon)

Do you really need directions for this?  I don’t think so.  Just mix it all together and store in an airtight container.  I use about 3 spoonfuls in my meat when I make tacos.  I use it just as I would the little packets.
