All moms are busy, working moms, stay at home moms, moms to teens or moms to toddlers. We all have different kinds of busy. I feel I’m busy running around getting everyone to where they need to be. That has slowed down a little because of the summer, but now I have 3 kids running around while I’m trying to do my normal routine. I was at the pool the other day and I literally caught myself nodding off at 2 o’clock in the afternoon. Naps are good sometimes, but not when I’m watching my kids swim! Here are a few tips to help you (and me) have more energy during the day.
Tips To Keep Energized This Summer
Sleep I know this seems simple, but why is it always so hard to do. Getting to bed at a earlier time will make you feel better the next day. Doing it consistently, day after day, will work wonders. This is really hard for me to do. I do a lot of stuff around the house after the kids go to bed so I usually don’t get to bed until 11 or 12. I am a person that needs more sleep, but I have a hard time getting to bed early.
Exercise Sometimes it’s hard to find time to get regular exercise. I’ve been trying to walk in the evening with my kids and I always feel better after I do. Getting into a regular exercise routine will help with your overall energy level.
Eating Healthy I try to feed my family healthy foods. We get a box of vegetables from the farm every week. I incorporate what I get into our meals at home. However, we are still running around getting to baseball practices, recitals, and meeting friends for summer fun. Sometimes it’s just easier to run by a fast food restaurant to grab a pick bite. I’ve been really working on preparing my meals ahead of time to avoid eating out so much.
Try a quick pick me up Most of the time moms are so busy we can’t do all of the three previous things. I was at Walmart doing my regular grocery shopping and decided to pick up a pomegranate blueberry V8 V-Fusion +Energy Drink.
You can see all the different flavors at the V8 V-Fusion +Energy Drink website, as well as the nutritional information. (I love that it’s only 50 calories for each 8 oz serving.) Check them out and then tell me what flavor you would choose!
