Week Night Samoa Cheesecake

I love dessert! My family loves dessert. However, we are so busy that I never have time to make it. Even if I did have time, we wouldn’t have time to eat it. I found a great little shortcut though. This was sitting in the refrigerator when the kids got home from school and they were drooling over it. They were begging for it for hours.
You only need a few ingredients to make a Sara Lee Original Cream Classic Cheesecake something extra special. My kids love girl scout cookies so I thought I would make a samoa cheesecake.
- Sara Lee Original Cream Classic Cheesecake
- hot fudge
- toasted coconut (You can read how to make it here.)
First, I put a layer of hot fudge and caramel on the cheesecake. It doesn’t have to be perfect because no one will see this part. I spread it over the top. It’s better to do this while the cheesecake is still frozen.
Next, I got my toasted coconut and put a layer on top. I probably used around 3-4 ounces, half of the small bag of coconut I bought. The hot fudge and caramel are sticky so it will hold on all the coconut.
This is the fun part. I put the caramel and hot fudge in their own bags and cut off the corners so I could drizzle on top. The messier, the better, right?
This was a huge hit at my house. My 5 year old daughter wanted to go back for more. This is so easy for a baby, wedding shower or even a dessert for a potluck or teacher luncheon.
I bought my cheesecake at Food Lion because it’s right down the road from me. The Sara Lee cheesecake has an instant redemption coupon on the package for $1.50 off! It’s good through 3/31 or while supplies last. You’ll want to pick one up (and an extra to keep in the freezer) so you can have a one of a kind dessert in just minutes!
