Ingredients
1stick of butter
16ozbag mini marshmallows
2bags microwave popcornplain
green melting chocolate
red melting chocolate
1tube of white icing to "glue" the heart on.
Instructions
Melt the butter in a pot on the stove.
Pour in marshmallows and stir continuously until melted.
Pop the popcorn in the microwave following the directions on the package and pour into large pot. Make sure to take out all the unpopped kernals!
Once the marshmallows are melted, pour over the popcorn and stir until well coated.
Let the popcorn and marshmallow mixturd cool for a few minutes before forming balls. It will be extremely sticky and they won't take shape.
While forming the balls, place the stick in the middle.
Melt the green melting chocolate in a small bowl in the microwave. Cook for 30 seconds, stir and cook another 30 seconds. Continue until it's melted.
Add parchment paper to the baking sheet. Spoon chocolate over popcorn balls and place in the refrigerator to speed up the hardening process.
How to make red hearts.
Melt the red melting chocolate in a small bowl in the microwave. Cook for 30 seconds, stir and cook another 30 seconds. Continue until it's melted.
Fill mold, then place in freezer for a few minutes until chocolate has hardened.
Pop the hearts out of the mold.
Squirt a little icing on the back of the heart and place of green popcorn ball. You may have to lay the popcorn ball on it's side until the icing has hardened. If not, it may slide off.
