Breastfeeding is a main concern for new moms and it’s one of the hardest parts. There are good times and bad times, but in the end, it's totally worth it. People love to give advice for when the new baby comes home, but sometimes don't share the not so good parts. Here's what no one tells you about breastfeeding.

What no one tells you about breastfeeding
Yes,
- it’s hard at first.
- you will probably do some stuff wrong. Don’t worry about it.
- you WILL be sore. Even if you are doing everything right, you will be sore, no matter what.
- the baby will cry and cry because they are hungry and you can’t get them latched on properly. Don’t give up.
- you will worry if your baby is getting enough to eat and you will probably go to the Dr. just to get a weight check to make sure.
- you WILL cry about it.
- everyone does things different. Find what works for you.
- you will be upset that you're the only one that can feed the baby and you need a break.
- you will have to breastfeed in bathrooms, restaurants, cars, and dressing rooms.
- everything you do revolves around your baby's eating schedule.
- you will spend a lot of time pumping and then accidentally spill the milk.
- pumping stinks. I had several different pumps and here's my favorite.
But then…You will
- finally get the hang of it.
- figure our what works for you.
- love the bonding time with your baby.
- be happy that it’s time for baby to eat because you can sit down and rest.
- be better rested; although, certainly not "well rested", since you won't be in the kitchen making a bottle in the middle of the night.
- feel so accomplished and proud of yourself because you stuck with it.

Oh my! Thanks for sharing. I'm bookmarking this 🙂
I have not had a baby yet, so these things are so good to know, thanks! I am equally scared and excited about breastfeeding - now I just have to bookmark this in case I ever get pregnant!
I do agree about being sore. Sometimes the pain when I just start out is close to the pain during birth! You are so right though, it is worth it! Blessed times:)
It's the most amazing experience. I respect every mommy regardless of the do it or not for whatever reason without judging. But for me it was the best experience so far in life, exhausting, time consuming, but the BEST.
I agree!
I've nursed all eight of my children, and to be honest, it's so second nature that no place feels weird. I'm just drawing a blank on this one.
Wow! That's awesome. I started to feel that way too, that no place felt weird.
I was so anxious about what breastfeeding would be like before I had my daughter - it seemed so complicated! It's been worth every second, even the awkward ones 🙂
Last week we were having some pics taken at a local baby store, which had a very small front room and was PACKED. I fed her on the floor amidst the crowd because she started signing for milk - just when it was her turn for pics of course!
My list is quite extensive (see link) but most interesting is probably either while mini-golfing or while boarding and installing car seats on an airplane but after 3 kids and almost 6 years, I have NEVER fed in a public bathroom.
haha great post! I have breastfed in most of those places. Strangest place for me might have been a packed airport bar. I breastfed my 4 month old in the ergo while we waited packed in like sardines for some food before our flight!
I breastfed both of my girls and it was far from easy but definitely worth the efforts.
I once breastfed my oldest on the floor of an auditorium... LOL. Baby's got to eat!
Thanks for sharing and for linking up to the #SHINEbloghop.
Wishing you a lovely day.

At the customs line in an international airport (baby on boob in one hand, pushing luggage with the other!!)...worth every tricky/awkward/uncomfortable/tired second, knowing that my babies are healthier and happier because of it!
Love it!
