Don’t you love strawberry season and Nutella? It’s almost that time here in North Carolina and we have a strawberry patch less than a mile from us. I love passing it everyday and watching the strawberries turn red.
We usually go pick at least twice a year, sometimes more. I freeze them so I can have that great fresh strawberry taste in my smoothies all year!
Nutella and Strawberry Recipe
Nutella and strawberries are the best dessert and treat EVER! Most people like strawberries and chocolate so this is a no brainer. They’re pretty easy to make and look fantastic. You can get the kids involved or surprise them.
Strawberries are a great food as a base for recipes. They are sweet and juicy and goes great with chocolate. Strawberries are fruit (and don’t have sugar) and that means this is healthy right?
Ingredients for nutella filled strawberries
Nutella– Any hazelnut spread will work if you can’t find Nutella.
Chocolate chips– I prefer milk chocolate chips.
Peanuts– You’ll want to buy these chopped or chop them up at home. I had one of these when I was little and was always in charge of our nut chopping!
How to make this strawberry Nutella dessert
Cut tops off the strawberries and core using a paring knife.
Put Nutella in baggie, cut a small slit off the corner and pipe Nutella into strawberries. Place strawberries on wax paper.
Put chocolate chips and coconut oil in microwave safe dish. Microwave on high stopping every ten seconds to stir.
Dip strawberries halfway into melted chocolate, roll in chopped peanuts. Place back on wax paper.
Store in refrigerator until ready to serve.

- 1/2 cup peanuts chopped
