My family is taking several out of town trips this summer. I always like to pick up snacks for the car ride to help keep the kids entertained. We always have Twizzlers in our snack bag. All 3 of my kids love them and I love them because they never melt in my bag when I leave them in the hot car (We also have them in our pool and baseball bags). Usually the bag stays in the car so we can have a snack whenever we need one. When I get to the beach, after we unload the car, this is the first thing I do. The kids love this fun, summer treat.
My kids love lots of treats at the beach and it can get pretty expensive. I love this because we never have to go out and buy anything special.
Take a look at this short video to see how easy it is.
I grabbed our popsicle mold (I packed it) and I folded the Twizzlers Twist into a candy cane shape and placed it in the mold.
Next, I poured lemonade into the mold. I thought that would taste really good with the strawberry Twizzlers, but you can use any flavor you like.
After a few hours, we had a great snack! I curved the Twizzlers so they would make a handle for the kids to hold onto. I love that there is no trash to throw away and they can take it right down to the beach with them.
I normally just pick them up my Twizzlers Twists at Walmart doing my regular grocery shopping.
Pick up some on your next summer road trip and make these delicious popsicles, if you have any extras. Maybe you should just get 2 packs!
What are you going to make with your Twizzlers?
