Well…it’s almost Labor Day and I have one more grilled recipe for you for the summer. I love corn recipes and one of my favorite side dishes is grilling corn on the cob!

I always pick up a few ears of fresh corn when out grocery shopping and the best part is that it’s pretty inexpensive.

Delicious Corn on the Cob on the Grill

I live in North Carolina and use my grill all year long and corn on the cob is very easy tp grill. It’s nice to be able to cook an entire meal outside so you can keep your house cool in the summer.

People around here love Mexican street corn but I’m allergic. Who would have thought that people would put mayo on corn on the cob? If you didn’t fiqure it out, I’m allergic to eggs and I found out the hard way on that! I had to come up with a fancy tasting corn and this recipe is delish!

You can cook corn in the husk or you can wrap it in foil. I do about both equally, but I personally like it best when the husks are removed. I like to add diferent flavors and seasonings.

Tools to make corn on the grill in foil

Grill Tool Set– This is a great grill tool set with metal handles. I had a wood set in the past and they didn’t last as long as the metal handles. I love that this one comes with a brush too so you can put any sauces on your foods while grilling.

Cheese grater– I love this box grater because there are several different blades you can use so it’s perfect for all kinds of recipes. It’s perfect if you decide to grate your block of fresh parmesan cheese.

Measuring cup– This measuring cup is perfect for melting butter. I use mine all the time!

Ingredients for Grilled Parmesan Garlic Corn on the Cob Recipe

  • Corn on the cob- I try to only buy sweet corn. That’s the corn that has yellow and white kernels.
  • Parmesan cheese- You can use fresh parmesan cheese or the kind you find in your pantry.
  • Garlic powder
  • Butter- I usually only buy salted butter so that’s what’s used in this recipe.
  • Italian seasoning
  • Salt – I love sea salt and use it a ton, but you can use regular table salt for this recipe.

How do I grill corn on the cob?

Step 1

Shuck the corn. Don’t forget to remove all the silk (the little hair like things). They get in your teeth when you’re eating it!

Step 2

Add cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder and salt to melted butter and stir.

Step 3

You can cook the corn in one large piece of aluminum foil or individually wrapped. If I’m doing four or less I just put them all together. Pour garlic butter mixture evenly over the corn and wrap in foil.

Step 4

Set the grill to medium high heat and cook your foil pack for 30 minutes, turning at least once.
