We make these several times a month at my house and now my 12 year old has taken over some of the duties and can make them by himself. (He usually leaves the cleaning up to me though!) We're working on that!

In fact, It's also great if you like to snack on the dough and I have to remind my kids that most people put eggs in the dough and you can't eat it. I think each of my three kids eat at least 2 cookies worth of dough.

The best EGGLESS Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe
For those of of you that are just finding me and my recipes for the first time, I'll tell you a little about myself. I'm allergic to eggs and I don't like making things I can't eat. My mom discovered I was allergic to eggs when I was around 6 months old- so 40 years ago.
When I was young I really just stuck to Dairy Queen ice cream, Oreos, and Chips Ahoy, and M&Ms for my any sweet treats. Now I have more time and my kids are older to try out some recipes that I can eat. However, I still love Dairy Queen!!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Tips
I’ve had a few people mention that their dough is dry and crumbly. First, it should not be crumbly and should look moist and stick together well. You may have to go back several times with the water to get it just right.
Just a quick friendly reminder: I would absolutely LOVE it if you could drop some feedback in the comment section for these mouthwatering blueberry muffins. A shiny 5-star rating would be awesome! Your ratings really make a difference for others looking for new and tasty recipes. Thanks a bunch!

We don’t have an egg allergy but I stumbled upon this recipe a few years back when I didn’t have any eggs and I was desperate for chocolate cookies (you know how that goes)! This is my husband’s favorite cookie recipe and the one he will always request. Great, fast, delicious! What more can you ask for?
I think I added a little too much water after reading the comments. Oops. Maybe next time !
Okay, these are amazing!! I looked up an eggless recipe because while we’re not allergic here, I didn’t want to use my last 2 eggs on a batch of cookies so I could procrastinate a trip to the store until after my husband’s breakfast!
It was remarkable how nicely these came together and scooped without any chilling beforehand. Perfect texture when baked, and bonus - because they’re egg-free, I could let the kids eat some of the dough raw, which they loved! (I know, I should bake the flour first to be totally safe next time.) I did use 1/2 cup whole wheat flour and 1 cup regular, just to see if I could get some fiber into the kiddos, and next time, I’ll take a few minutes to brown the butter. Super delicious as written, though.
This one’s getting saved and put in my baking binder! A rare honor for an Internet recipe!
Wow! Great and easy recipe! I stubbled upon this recipe tonight because my fiancé said “you know what sounds good right now?…cookies!” Well, this morning he ate the last of the eggs so I was like oh shoot! Let me find an eggless recipe! And holy moly! Super good and super easy! I didn’t have chocolate chips, so I added Hershey Kisses the last few minutes of baking! Super yummy!!
Can I use oil instead of butter for this?
No, you need to use butter.
I haven’t baked chocolate chip cookies since I found out I was allergic to eggs, years ago. They were the one thing I would cheat with, buying them with eggs in them from grocery store bakeries,Subway, etc, but of course I always would feel slightly sick when I ate them. I finally tried this recipe two days ago,and made another batch today. I’m absolutely thrilled that because I’m not allergic to them, and the recipe is so great, these are the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever had.
So glad to find an egg free recipe that doesn't need egg replacer. I may add a little salt the the dry ingredients next time.
@Kathy, I agree it needs salt
My granddaughter is anaphylactic allergic to eggs. We LOVE this recipe and guests do not even realize it’s not the original chocolate chip cookie recipe we grew up on! THANK YOU for sharing this!!!
I'm really sorry it took me THIS LONG to write a review! This is my absolute go to cookie recipe, I've used it for years. It's so quick and easy!! Best cookies ever! Even beat my old boss's famous cookies! No one could even believe they were vegan. I've had so many requests to make them again and again. This recipe is awesome because I have an egg and dairy allergy which makes enjoying sweets pretty difficult as the dairy allergy is life threatening. For the butter I substitute 1 stick of country crock plant butter (I use the olive oil variety) and I've never had a dry or crumbly dough whether I used the "butter" straight from the fridge or softened on the counter first. I bring these into work all the time for my coworkers because they love them so much! (I work at a bakery at that!!!) I've been dubbed "Cookie King" and it's all thanks to this awesome recipe!
My family and I recently went to a plant based diet.Trying to figure out how to make our favorite meals and desserts has been a challenge. I came across this recipe after looking for a chocolate chip cookie that requires no eggs. I decided to try and let me tell you! I have made them back to back in the last two weeks. My family loves them. I use only plant based ingredients (butter, chocolate chips, etc.) and they lacked nothing. Thank you so much for this recipe 😊
